Clock Tower Vandalized

The Westminster Police Department is investigating an act of vandalism to the historic bell tower located in the downtown area of Westminster at 66 East Main Street (the old firehouse building). The investigation has revealed that the suspect(s) gained access to the roof of the building at some time between June 6th and June 13th, 2018. Once on the roof, the suspect(s) destroyed two of the four finials on the bell tower, as well as smashed two windows and damaged a railing. An estimate of damages is not currently available.

The Westminster Police Department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Citizens who may have witnessed this incident or who have information as to the identity of the suspect(s) are asked to contact Pfc. Spencer Voland (Field Services Bureau) or D/Sgt.
