Children's Camps

Westminster City Recreation Summer Day Camp's endeavor is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where campers are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, games, sports, crafts and trips. Through activities provided, campers have fun, learn fair play, develop social skills increase fitness levels and develop lasting friendships.

Westminster City Recreation Summer Day Camp 2013! Ten weekly sessions (June 17-August 23) Campers will stay active with one another and our well-trained, certified counselors while participating in creative group activities, sports, swimming, and a variety of other exciting activities!Campers will enjoy positive experiences while learning good sportsmanship, positive self-esteem, teamwork, respect for others and self-discipline. • AM Care (as early as 7am) and PM Care (as late as 6pm) is available for an additional $15 each, per week, per child.
• Day Camp takes place at the Longwell Municipal Center* and is designed for children to participate in a full day program. They will interact with one another during games, sports, crafts, field trips, swimming on Wednesdays* at the Westminster Municipal Pool and a variety of other activities.

*Wednesday is "pool day." Drop off and pick up will be at the Westminster Municipal Pool, 325 Royer Road.

• Counselor In Training Program Our C.I.T. Program is for students ages 13-15 who are interested in helping with camp. C.I.T. students must be available for training and for camp. Candidates must fill out an application and be accepted into the C.I.T. program. Space is limited. The cost of the program is $60 per week. Half of the hours worked will be awarded in Student Learning Service Hours. For example, if you work 35 hours per week at camp, you will be awarded 17.5 hours per week in Student Service Learning hours. Confirmation letters and field trip information will be sent to all campers at a later date. Before and after care available for an additional charge. Refunds will not be issued unless an approved substitute can be made. Refunds that are approved will be issued by mail. Program information is subject to change without notification. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks. Family Center Members Discount: $5.00 Off per week of camp.
