1. Am I locked into a contract for a year?

No, you can cancel your membership at any time. You must put it in writing and you must be up to date on your payments when you cancel, but you can cancel at any time.

2. Do the group fitness classes cost extra?

Our group fitness classes are included in your membership. Occasionally, a specialty class might cost extra, but we have over 40 regularly scheduled classes each week that are included in your membership. View our schedule and view descriptions of our class offerings.

3. What are the busiest times in the gym?

The busiest hour is usually 9:00-11:00am.

4. Do the child supervision employees know CPR?

Yes. Every 2 years, all of our employees are certified or re-certified in CPR and First Aid through the American Heart Association.

5. Can anyone come in and use the weight room or take a class without purchasing a membership?

Yes. Our guest fee is $7 if you are a city resident or w/member or $10 if you are a non-city resident.

6. Do you have programs for senior citizens?

The Westminster Family Fitness Center is an exercise facility that is available for membership to all age groups. Some of our group fitness classes are geared toward senior fitness.

7. Where is the city's Recreation and Parks Department located?

Westminster City Recreation is located in the Longwell Municipal Center, the old armory building, at 11 Longwell Ave. The Family Fitness Center is in the lower level.

8. Do you have sports leagues or sports programs?

The Westminster Family Fitness Center does not run sports leagues like the Carroll County Recreation Department. However, there are designated times for pick-up basketball in the gymnasium.
